We began Saturday morning by having breakfast with our friend Phil, Nicole, and Lucas at the hotel. It was nice to have the sit down breakfast and see the boys interact some more. I really wish we lived closer! This was our shortest day of driving, so it didn't bother us to not get on the road until close to 11:00am. Of course this threw off Theo a little more than usual, since he had been napping around 11:30-1:00 in the car. Unfortunately this was another cranky day for him in the car. We had to make a few stops to let him run around and get his pacifiers which he kept throwing out of reach. He wouldn't fall asleep without it. His crankiness this day was definitely due to over-tiredness and teething. Of course when he finally did fall asleep we had to stop about 10 minutes later for an adult potty break since rest areas were few and far between. He did not want to go back to sleep after this. FINALLY he did fall asleep about 20 minutes from our hotel.

One of our rest area stops did provide Theo with his first snow (dusting) experience. It was also a sad realization to me that it was just getting colder and colder on this journey and we weren't headed back to the 70 degree weather we had left behind.

I was really glad that we (I) made reservations for all our hotels along the way. There was some high school sports event going on close to where we were, because our hotel was PACKED. I think they said almost every room was packed. We had leftover pizza for dinner, and then at dinnertime we went for a swim hoping all the teenie boppers would be out to dinner, and they were. This pool was a little warmer, but the air temperature was so cold, so we only lasted about 20 minutes.

We spent some time letting Theo just play around, and of course he enjoyed his bath. We all turned in early and enjoyed some tv in bed.
