Beware of the Glam Photos

My dentists have been bugging me for years to have my wisdom teeth removed.  They didn't really bother me, and I haven't really had issues, but they were supposedly getting cavities, and my insurance wouldn't pay for it once I turned 30, so after much persuasion, and cancelling once, I booked my wisdom tooth surgery.

Mason was able to take a Friday off of work on President's weekend, and was a wonderful nurse for the weekend.  I was NOT excited about that, especially after Mason's horrible experience when he first joined the military.  I was crying in the parking lot and he pushed me into the dental office. I have to say, it all went so smoothly and it was probably the best experience I could have hoped for.

I have to say the worst part was having the assistant trying to get the IV in my arm.  I don't even remember being knocked out, but just coming too and being moved into a recovery room.  After 2 c-sections and my wisdom teeth out, I've found out that I think I bawl as a side effect to the anesthesia. Mason and the kids were super sweet all weekend.

His Father's Son

In February our Moms & Mentors group decided to meet at the Minot Discovery Center.  The boys really enjoy it there, but unfortunately it had to close on March 1st because it was just renting space from the Air Museum, but we're hoping they get approval to re-open in the Fall...

Anyways...I snapped this little gem of Woodrow.  It was just so sweet to me, because it was like this perfect glimmer of how he's certainly Mason's son.  Amongst all of the toys and activities, Woodrow managed to find a view of the planes.

One of the new fun displays since we had been to the museum before was a small cockpit.  All of the boys were trying to get in the cockpit and finally Theo and Woodrow got their turns.  It's fun because they have a screen connected to it with B52 footage.  Theo had such a blast, even though I wouldn't let him wear the little hat they had.  Theo tells us that he wants to be a fireman when he grows up, but he has that special glimmer when he builds lego planes with Mason, or pretends to fly planes, and when he tells Mason he wants to go fly with him.  These boys of mine have a special bond that I think only fathers and sons can have.  I love them so much.

Woodrow at 19 Month

Whew...this month should be titled, "Battle of Woodrow and the Snack Pantry."  Oy!  This boy's favorite place to hang out is in our pantry, getting all sorts of snacks.  I feel like all he eats these days are snack foods (crackers, goldfish, yogurt, and fruit snacks).  We're considering a lock, but we like Theo to be able to get his own.

When Woodrow isn't foraging for food, he likes to climb, climb, climb! Woodrow climbs on the tables, chairs, and would scale the wall if he could.  We're supposed to have a warm spell in the next few days and I'm hoping we can spend some time playing outdoors at the park.

Woodrow likes to be Theo's little sidekick all the time.  They are very sweet playing all sorts of games together, and coming up with imaginative play.  Woodrow's been saying a lot more sounds lately, signing more, and I'm just hoping some words will pop out soon.

The best time of the week is playtime with Dad.  I can't even explain how fun it is to see Woodrow rush to the door when he hears Mason coming home, and he just stands waiting for him.  When the boys get some time with Mason before bed and on the weekends, it's lots of wrestling, giggling, and fun!
