Welcome to the Rockies

Yesterday, eight of us ENJJPT soon-to-be-studs caravanned up to Pueblo, CO. We spent the night in a hotel just a few miles from the airport so we could check in fresh and clean today. Inprocessing itself here at Initial Flight Screening (IFS) only took 15 minutes or so. But then the rest of the day was full of meeting everyone (about 34 in our class it sounds like) and getting ready for our first day of training. Pueblo's not too close to the mountains but you can definately see them from here. All in all, the drive was pretty amazing.

Tomorrow it's up at 0530 for a full day of academics, quizzes, and then the Physical Fitness Test to finish it off (at 5,000' elevation I should add). And I think we're stuck in blues until everyone passes the boldface/procedures/keynumbers quiz. So cross your fingers, I can only last so many days in the blues uniform with 100* weather, not that the flight suit is much cooler (but it's so damn comfortable and fun to wear). There's about 8 people with private pilot certificates and 2 with their commercial in our class. We're also the biggest class yet, and it's supposed to keep getting bigger each class as they send more people through here.

Sheppard, RIP- thorough investigations are called for. Conspiracy theories, anyone?
