It's truly amazing to me how I really feel like each month I sit down to write the update blog on how our sweet Theo is growing, and I feel like every time I say there have been major changes in him, and again, it's so true! Theo has this spirit and personality to him that I absolutely adore (the majority of the time).
Height: ~34 inches tall
Weight: ~27lbs. He finally weighs enough to register on our scale at home (wish I had that problem)
Theo's wearing size 4 diapers, and has mostly transitioned to size 24 month clothes. He still wears a few 18 month pants (they fit in the waist, but are a little short), he also fits in his 18 month shorts. We tried on snow gear from last year and some things we had bought in advance, and I'd say he'll be covered this winter! We just need some new snow boots for him. He's wearing size 6 toddler shoes, but I'm still squeezing him into his size 5 sandals for the rest of this summer season. Theo was sitting on the potty seat regularly before Mason came home in July, but we really backed off, because he was waking up several times in the night to say he wanted a change, even if it was just slightly damp. He wasn't ready to fully potty train, so we've slacked off. His diapers are pretty rank these days (as my mom said), so we may be getting closer to working towards the potty training goal again. I reminded him if he peed or pooped on the potty he could have animal "cookies", and he asked if he could have M&Ms instead, so he's ready for bargaining.
Medically Speaking:
Theo had another febrile seizure on July 30th. Sigh. It was a major bummer, since this was his second one (previous one in April). We had been at playgroup and he was perfectly fine until about 2 hours in, when he asked to go home. It was lunchtime, so I figured he was just done playing and hungry. He felt warm, but I figured he was just sweaty from running around. I did check his temperature when we got home and it was already 103! The kid spikes fevers so fast! I gave him medicine immediately, since we had been told to do this after the last seizure. As the day went on, we medicated and he napped, but his fever didn't get below 102. I went to a meeting and Theo had a seizure while Mason was home with him that evening. We didn't want to go to the ER since the last time we went there, they basically just medicated him until the fever went down, which is what we could try at home. We called the on-call base doctor who suggested we go to the clinic in town which was open until 8pm. We loaded up and headed there, and they told us there was nothing they could do for us, so head to the ER. We decided to head to CVS and pick-up an alternate medication so we could alternate two different medications. We spoke to the base pediatrician the next day and said that he only wanted to see Theo if this happened one more time in the near future. He gave us a few suggestions if it happens again...so we'll just pray Theo has outgrown this stage. 
I was also playing with Theo one day in our living room, but putting a small blanket over his head while he ran around like a ghost. It was all fun and games until he fell and hit his mouth on the edge of the coffee table (it made a really loud noise). His mouth was gushing blood, and looked pretty nasty for several days, but healed up after not too long. Glad we didn't have to get stitches or something for that one. I couldn't even blame Mason either! Talk about Mom guilt!
Eating:
Theo's gotten a little more picky about what he wants to eat these days. And by that, I mean he's not always satisfied when I hand him crackers to hold him off until meal time. The kid likes pancakes for breakfast, loves to cook "dough" (bread, muffins, cookies), and he's totally into sauce (ketchup, bbq, salsa, ranch dressing). Everything is dipped in sauce. Fortunately he does like fruits and veggies, so we try to balance that with the other foods...although the diapers again...woah! For a week or two he was obsessed with hot dogs, and I got a kick out of him asking for "two hot doggies" at each and every meal.
Sleeping:
No comment. We've had our ups and downs this month.

Sid the Science Kid
Theo LOVES to play with our neighbors. On one side we have friends that have a 5 year old boy, 17 month old girl, and a 4 day old boy. Theo asks daily to play with Alex and Natalie. They have some really fun toys and are nice about sharing with Theo. On the other side of us, our neighbors have a 7 year old boy and a 4 year old girl. Theo also asks to play all the time with Neely and Aiden, and this week they've spent time drawing with chalk in the driveways, and they share their cool bikes and scooters with Theo. It's really sweet to hear him ask to play with his "friends", but he also has had those little meltdowns that come with having to leave a friends house and their cool toys.
--Theo can complete the shape sorter by himself that he couldn't do a month ago when we were at my parents house. He knows the names of shapes like: circle, triangle, square, rhombus, cross, octagon (which he does use for the octagon and hexagon at this point), star, heart, and oval.
--Theo's using the correct words for things. After 23 months, he FINALLY calls milk, milk and not dada. Neighs and Moos are now horses and cows. Although one day he called ducks quackies and I thought that was pretty funny!
--He knows the following colors: red, yellow, pink, green, purple, orange (most of the time), blue, brown, white, black
--Theo knows most of his numbers, although not 100%. He also knows most of his letters, but again not all of them. He knows about 85% though. He was having a hard time learning the letter "Q" which I later realized he was confusing with "U" because he thinks they sound the same.
--Theo can climb into his carseat in the car now, which was helpful after my c-section
--Theo really likes to color, play with chalk, and get stickers.
This month, Theo became a big brother! He LOVES it! We've tried really hard to not make life seem like it revolves around Woodrow, and my mom being here for three weeks really helped with that. She was AMAZING about taking Theo for walks to the park or to see the diggers on base. She got up and played with him in the mornings-bright and early-and spent lots of time with him, which helped us out a great deal. Plus, he had the added bonus of having a wonderful time with Gram!
