Maximus is Two Months Old

Going out of order here, Maximus turned 2 months old on December 21st!  This sweet angel is a gem, but also let's us know when he wants something! 

~Height: 23 inches
~Weight: 11lbs 14 oz
~Diapers: Grew out of Newborn and on to Size 1
~Clothing Size: Out of newborn, fits 0-3 and 3 month
~Sleeping from about 10pm-5am (sometimes up for a feeding around 2am), napping as he can throughout the day
~Eating breastmilk only although he does not like to take a bottle from Mason

This month I brought out the playmat and Max loves to play on it.  He especially likes to hear the music that plays from a star on one of the bars.  It also helps that a big brother is usually always close by when Max is "on the loose."

Max had his first trip to the beach.  He stayed on land for his first trip, but after I was cleared by the doctor at my 6 week appointment, Max even got to go swimming for the first time at Gun Beach.  He enjoyed floating in the water, and seems to enjoy the water just like his brothers, which is great for island life and bath time.  He really likes to hear the water running when he's in the bath tub.  Mostly now though Max hangs out on shore while we have our beach adventures.  Napping and eating seem to suit him fine in the fresh air. 

I'm the little brother.  The big ones do stuff like this to me. 

We did a lot of adventuring between his one month and two months of life.  He's a super trooper!  We feel bad that sometime he spends so much time in the car seat, and doesn't get to enjoy nap life in his crib since we're frequently on the go, but praise God the sweet guy doesn't mind his car seat and will nap or play with Theo while going along for the ride...unless he's hungry and then we all hear about it.

Max loves to smile

Max likes to eat every 2-3 hours for about 20-30 minutes, although sometimes he likes to camp out for 45 minutes!  In the evenings he's definitely a little more moody and likes to cluster feed, almost hourly, which can be a challenge while trying to prepare dinner, clean-up dinner, and getting the older two to bed, while trying to maintain a relationship between the parents.  His little mad pout/cry is kind of cute though.  Max eats a long meal before bed and usually goes to sleep around 10pm all swaddled up.  

Max also loves the swing and takes a decent nap during the middle of the day in his swing, thankfully!  We don't swaddle him during the day, and if I lay him in his crib to nap his startle reflex wakes him after 15 minutes, so I'm all for him napping in his swing. 

He rocked his two month check-up and barely cried for his shots-go Max!  Big Brothers are so in love with him and Theo could spend all day hanging out with him. Woodrow's a guy on the go, but does like to check-in with Max and see what he's up to from time to time.  Mom and Dad are grateful he is a decent sleeper-we're all much saner for that.  Love our mighty Maximus!
