Maximus is Three Months Old

Maximus turned three months old on the 21st and it feels like time is going so fast.  He is such a good baby!  Really.  I think his goodness is being exemplified by being compared to the threenager who's living in our house right now and has me on my toes constantly!

Max is getting bigger, wearing 3mo/3-6mo clothes, size 1 diapers, and becoming so personable.  Max is so smiley! He just gives these HUGE grins when you talk to him and he especially likes when Theo and Woodrow are paying him extra attention.  When Theo is around he's always  up-close with Max.  They are quite the pair.

Maximus also is quite the chatterbox...another little Theo on my hands.  He coos, and ahhs all the time.  It's so sweet.   He loves playing on his playmat and is constantly grabbing at the toys and even found a way to scoot underneath them to chew on them.  He likes to suck on his hands, sometimes the pacifier, and he's been trying to roll from his back to his tummy.  He definitely has figured out the art of the back scoot.  He digs his heels in and pushes off to move around the room.

This month he got to experience Skyping with Dad for the first time.  The first few times he could hear the voice, but not really focus on the computer, and then he did seem like he was getting it a few times.  He can see further distances now and it's fun to see his face light up when "his people" come into view.

We are still working on getting him more comfortable taking a bottle, so hopefully with Mason returning soon we can work on that more.  When we have days where we can stay home and someone else is driving Theo to preschool I can notice Max's schedule more and he does try to get in two long naps a day, but usually they are interrupted by getting the big kids somewhere.  Max sleeps mostly in the swing for now since his startle reflex is still there and we don't swaddle him for nap time.

This month Max also decided to show us that he can scoot his little body out of the swing-we are now using the straps, and he can withstand being tipped over in the stroller...twice...oops!!  We love our Max and we'll work on avoiding the spills this next month!
