Jedi for the Day

Last weekend I took the kids to a special Star Wars event at the BX that Mason had signed them up for.  The event was completely free and very well organized-kudos AAFES staff.  The boys had an assigned time slot to show up and they were given Jedi robes to wear (borrow) and they went through Jedi training.  The kids watched excitedly and nervously while a group of kids went before them.  Theo was pretty excited and Woodrow seemed hesitant. Max took a nap. 

The Jedi Master (teacher/employee) was great with the kids.  He was very clear on the rules and tried to learn the kids names, and praised all of them while making corrections and adjustments.  The kids got to fight boxing posts, and I just learned that the Sith Lord was on the side they were looking at.  They had so much fun!  Woodrow was upset at one point when his light saber stopped lighting up, but we got it fixed and he was good to go. 

After the Jedi training they got to have a quick "Rogue One" Experience
and shot nerf bullets at enemy ships.  And lastly, they got to take a picture with a Storm Trooper and get a certificate!  Such a great event and well worth our time.
