Guam is full of hidden treasurers, many of which we would not find on our own. A few weeks ago we had an open morning, so I decided to venture out with the kids before taking Theo to preschool. I saw a short video that someone posted about a well on base and we decided to scope it out.
If you live in Guam, you head down to Tarague beach on Andersen AFB, and instead of turning left towards Tarague, you'll turn right and continue basically until the road is closed off by the CATM range. The sign for the well is on the right, just park in the grass and follow the sidewalk that twists around a fence.
The boys weren't too sure about this little adventure. It was dark and there were some spiders/webs, but if you stayed on the path it was fine. The well was pretty cool and is all freshwater, but no swimming allowed.
After our short adventure to the well, we pulled in along a side area that led down to a different part of the beach that's not for swimming. It was a pretty area, but you could definitely see why is was not a swimming area.
