I have let many blog-worthy moments this year pass, but I could not let the year end without giving a Maximus update. His birthday was in October for goodness sake!
Maximus turned three in October and it is just crazy to me. Our little Guam baby is now 3. This little mamas boy truly completes our family and I am so blessed to be his mother. He's grown so much this year. The baby fat had faded into little boy arms and legs. His little pot belly is often sticking out as he chases Theo and Woodrow. Max may be the little brother, but he is not one to be left behind.
Max is super chatty and likes to be right in on the conversations. He talks as much as Theo and can give an attitude just like Woodrow. I am surely in for it with this one. He likes to be very close by to me during the day, but loves his time with Mason.
This year Max took gymnastics lessons in Illinois, and started swimming lessons when we moved to Nebraska. He is really good at listening during his classes and can back float on his own. He's really comfortable in the water, but we want to increase his swimming skills so he is safe. We also did a small in-home music class this Fall and he'll be starting a tumbling class in the new year. (Mama needs this boy to be in an active activity).
Max keeps up with our hiking and activities pretty well. He's definitely motivated if treats are around. His favorite food is "west sticks" (French Toast sticks). He is our breakfast eater and early riser of the bunch...and likes you to be up and at em with him.
With Theo and Woodrow in school full time this year, Max is my companion during the day. We like to go on outings to the zoo, the library, and playgroups. Max enjoys playing with the puzzles at the library and always has to find the two snails in the fishtank before we leave. We spend lots of time at the zoo, especially looking at the elephants and giraffes.
Max likes to read books, snuggle, watch shows, play kitchen, do puzzles, and paint with water. He helps me cook/bake and is likely to dig into a cake or pan of brownies if left unattended.
Our little guy is a whippersnapper, but we just adore him!
