I thought I'd start with a Maximus update as he's about to turn a year and a half this week-unbelievable! This baby...he's just the best. We love him so much. He can smile at you and just turn your whole day around.
Max is wearing size 18-24 month clothes, size 3 diapers (4 at night), he has almost 8 teeth, and is a tan little Guam boy. He only wears shoes when we require them, but he'd prefer to have the water, sand, and dirt squish between his toes.
Max sleeps 12-14 hours at night and usually a 1.5-3 hour nap depending on the day. He's still sleeping in his crib, and hopefully doesn't figure out how to escape any time soon. He loves to sleep with his 3 wubbanub pacifiers and little yellow duck blanket. In the mornings when I wake him up he's super chatty and likes to point to the window. We open the blinds and he's working on saying "outside". He likes to look outside for a few minutes and then waste no time getting his breakfast.
The big boys frequently like to point our Max's "huge belly." Little dude likes to eat. His favorite meal is breakfast and he enjoys frozen waffles, pancakes, and fruit. He also likes to snack all day long like Woodrow. He eats most foods. I was just noting he's the first of our kids to eat rice-maybe it's the Chamorro influence. Also like Woodrow and Mason, Max must have a water cup nearby at all time. He's drinking much less milk and more water each day.
Max is fascinated with his big brothers. He wants to be with them all the time. They love it, but sometimes get frustrated when he wants to play re: destroy whatever they are playing with. His favorite game to play is peek a boo. He hides and pops out and says a loud and clear "boo" (although it sounds like bow). He is frequently playing with trucks, cars, or planes, and making their "vroom" noises. He will say "woof" when he sees a dog, and he's a slide master at the park.
Maximus loves being at the beach and playing in the sand and water. He tries to ride the boys scooters, he plays on the trampoline, and just loves life. He's even made it interesting by figuring out how to undo his carseat buckle (top strap) and then get out and reach the door handle...that was fun.
Whenever Mason is around, the rest of us might as well disappear. It's just about the sweetest thing ever. As soon as Mason comes home from work, Max runs to the door with a big "dada". If we're outside he escorts Mason to the door and ushers in quickly with him forgetting whatever we were playing. When Mason's home at lunch, his little buddy is right next to him.
I'm so lucky to have these boys in my life, and I'm so thankful for our sweet Maximus!
