Maximus is nine months old

I swear it's always a day or two before the actual monthly birthday and I think I'll do a blog post, but when wait until the actual day, and then here it is weeks later.  Oy! 

This baby is a mover and a shaker and I can't believe how fast he seems to be growing up!  He's a super content baby as long as he gets his naps and food when he wants it.  He's a great little brother and enjoys to play with his big brothers, and definitely wants to be in on all the action.  

At Max's 9 month check-up he was 17lbs and 28inches tall.  He's wearing size 2 diapers during the day and size 3 diapers at night.  He's mostly in 6-9/9 month clothes and we just stopped using the sleeper sacks at night.  He had been eating baby food with occasional other food in the mix.  He really likes sweet potatoes, carrots, and all the fruit/oatmeal combos, and he LOVES the baby yogurt just like the bigger boys did. 

Everything goes in Max's mouth! 

He crawls all over the house and likes to stand along the furniture. 

We took lots of hikes this month and he's great about being in the backpack carrier, even though it means he's basically dripping sweat by the end of the hikes. 

Water is everything!  Max heads right towards the water at the beach, he loves to play in the water table, and baths are so fun! 

Maximus is getting more vocal and likes to play peek-a-boo, although he doesn't do it by himself yet. 

Max had his first airplane ride, in first class, to Japan!  He got to go to Disneyland and go on rides! 

He enjoys eating books more than reading them, (and taking them all off the shelves). 

Maximus is a joy and we love him so much.
