Wise Owl Science Club

Awhile back I discovered the Wise Owl Science Club here in Minot and I'm so glad that Theo's had the opportunity to partake in their events.  Earlier this year we would attend the monthly sessions with Theo where he'd learn lots of new science vocabulary and get to do different science experiments for various themes.  These events were usually on a Friday evening or weekend so Mason or I would try to take Theo for some special one-on-one time.  One of the coolest ones that stood out for me was when he got to make a Fairy Garden Terrarium.  (And we haven't killed it yet!)  Theo always wants to know when a fairy is going to leave something in his terrarium, this mostly comes from the fact our sweet neighbor has a fairy garden on her porch and she puts little trinkets in it now and then.

Over the summer, I signed Theo up for two sessions of science camp.  The best part is that this science club/camp takes place 5 minutes North of base so it's super convenient.  Theo LOVED science camp.  One week was Pete the Cat inspired themes and the other was Superheros.  Starting in the Fall the schedule changed a bit and Theo goes to Science Club twice a month for an hour, lego club for 30-45 minutes, and then there is usually a special longer event once a month as well.  He's really been enjoying it, and Woodrow and I just hang out while he's there so we all get our special time.
PJs are allowed for Lego Club.  Here they had to build something that would float-success!

My favorite parts are seeing Theo's LOVE for the activities, trying to earn a "5-surprise" (a little toy for good behavior), and all that he soaks in.  The safety goggles are an added bonus.  ;)
Little Brother does a great job going along to big brother activities.
